Developed in collaboration with the weaving community of El Carbón, Honduras, this project explores how contemporary design can support local craftsmanship through a product rooted in traditional knowledge. The room divider translates handwoven majao fiber into a modular architectural system that creates new opportunities for small-scale production while preserving local weaving techniques.

Composed of interchangeable panels, the system can be configured as a window screen, doorway curtain, room divider, or larger spatial partition, adapting to a variety of domestic and hospitality environments. Responding to the Honduran climate, the semi-transparent woven surfaces provide shade while allowing natural ventilation and diffused light to pass through.
